The Research Commission of the Swiss National Park (FOK-SNP)

The Research Commission of the Swiss National Park (FOK-SNP) strategically promotes and oversees research and long-term monitoring in the Swiss National Park (SNP), Naturpark Biosfera Val Müstair, and the UNESCO Biosphärenreservat Engiadina Val Müstair (collectively referred to as SNP+). It brings together experts from a wide range of disciplines to address current questions that are relevant to both science and the region. The FOK-SNP consists of active researchers from various fields.

The FOK-SNP serves as a point of contact and is happy to support and guide you through all phases of your research. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us at .

Research in SNP+

Research and long-term monitoring in SNP+ aim to enhance the understanding of natural processes and ecosystem functions, identify direct and indirect human influences in line with the conservation objectives of the research area, and leverage the interplay between economy, society, nature, and culture for sustainable regional development.

If you wish to conduct your own research projects in SNP+, you should submit a corresponding project proposal to the FOK-SNP. You can find all relevant information on how to submit research projects under Research in the National Park. Please note that due to the legally defined conservation objectives, specific regulations apply to fieldwork in SNP.

We look forward to new scientific insights from SNP+!
